Sleding and Moutain Coffee!!!

Had a wicked day today! It was the official opening of the new road (well it is the old mountain road but it has just had the bridge re built so it is working again!) After a bike ride with my dogs and Pal set off to go to
Soulovombi for the opening...

So after Bartie's escape yesterday morning and my meeting with the next door neighbour Konnie, we went out where her 14 dogs into the mountain! After about 15kms we pulled the dogs off to the side of the road, found some wood, started a bonfire and made coffee!! Then after coffee and a chat about training huskies, back on the quad and off we went! The dogs are so strong we barely had to put on the engine of the quad! It was awesome to see that many dogs in a team, oh and on the way home Konnie hopped of the quad to untangle on of the pulling dogs and said that i was up! So i drove the huskies back home! Being on the brake all the way downhill!!!

Then we came back to Gargia and we had a a lot of cycling guests and then 20 of the dignitaries for lunch from the road opening! Maddness! and to make it harder, Pal's auntie was here today cooking for the lunch and refused to speak english to me!!! So my norwegian is slowly getting better!! Pal and Cathrine help me a lot with pronoucing and dont get annoyed with me constantly getting words wrong!!!

Anyway when they finally left we headed off with Pal's huskies for a trip to train them and again i drove from half way all the way home! Was very cool... although i need to make my hands stronger, i am not strong enough to fully engage the break! So i have to do better!!!

Back to school tomorrow! Must go and take out the dogs!
