Busy day!!!

Well what a busy day! Was woken up at 2am by bartie barking and going
a bit mental at the window! Obviously something was not right outside
so when I plucked up courage to have a look out of the window staring
back at me was not a fox or reindeer as I imagined, it was princess
one of Påls huskies sitting on my terrace trying to break into my dogs
food bag! So off I had to trot to put her back on her chain in the dog
yard! Back to sleep and when I woke up again and let my dogs out,
there she was again happily sitting oN the steps of the main lodge
looking at the world!

After a run with my dogs I headed in to do some more washing! I had so
nearly caught up with it all, untill all the rooms pretty much have
been changed over in the last 2 days and there was more washing! But
we have 25 guests here tomorrow night so we need clean sheets! Headed
off to school to learn some more crazy Norwegian grammer! They have a
while 3 extra vowels in Norwegian, and they all sound like the vowels
we have which means our vowels sound different! So I is pronounced
Eee... E is pronounced eh, æ is pronounced aarr, y is pronounced eeee,
u is pronounced uooo, å is pronounced oa and ø is pronounced oo and
god knows about the rest! We learnt the word love today which in
Norwegian is kjærlighet! But pronounced charleihe! Shop is kjøpe,
pronounced choupe, so I love to shop is jeg kjærlighet til kjøpe and
pronounced yei charleihe till choupe!!! Very confussing stuff!!!

Anyway came back to Gargia and we had 15 English hikers who had just
walked to he beautiful Alta canyon so they had waffles and tea! I took
then down to meet all the huskies and explain about training them for
the race whcih they though was pretty cool!

Then tonight Cathrine dropped Pål in alta so I was left with 8
Norwegian guests who unusually didn't speak english! Was good practice
for me!!! Off to bed now as we had our 25 female footballers here
tomorrow and I have to wrestle finnie off me tonight, as mosquito
repellant might be good at keeping away the mozzies, however she is
oppsessed with trying to lick it!!!!

We are getting much shorter days already than when I first came but
before nigt comes we are getting these amazing skies like in this
photo! They reckon only 5 weeks maybe until the first snow! And with
the tempuratures already dropping a bit, it won't be long before some
proper northern lights!!!
